Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of patients and caregivers affected by Multiple Sclerosis.

Learning Objectives

  1. To enhance communications between MS patients and their caregivers by increasing understanding of the complexities of their disease, its risk, its symptoms, therapeutic options, management strategies, and outcomes
  2. To explain and contrast the complex evidence-based data, scientific concepts of MS, and provide understanding on the role of different therapeutic agents - their risks and benefits, their clinical utility in disease management, and treatment, as well as their safety, side-effects, and treatment in the spectrum of management options related to MS
  3. To instruct patients on the needs for and risks of treatment, and other interventions in MS and how this may benefit their MS, as well as what the potential outcomes may be, as part of enhancing patient informed consent and promoting dialogue between patients and physicians.
